ListServs are a convenient way to find out the latest information about a topic. If there are new developments, announcements or publications, listserv subscribers will be the first to know, because the information comes directly to their email address. It's a good way for a committee to disseminate important news and information and to quickly reach their target audience.

You may use the Lists only for the purposes expressly permitted by the Lists. You may not use the Lists for any other purpose without ASHRAE’s express prior written consent. You agree to reserve List discussions for topics best suited to the medium. As with any community, there are guidelines governing behavior on the Lists. You agree to abide by the following etiquette when using the Lists:
> Include a signature tag on all messages. Include your name, affiliation, location, and e-mail address.
> State the topic of the comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to
> Include only the relevant portions of the original message in your reply, delete any header information, and
put your response before the original posting.
> Only send a message to the entire List when it contains information that everyone can benefit from.
> Do not send administrative messages, such as remove me from the List, through the List.
